During these current days, life has been drastically modified for many people due to the impacts of the Corona virus. I personally don’t feel excited about it, because I honestly could do very well without it. Nevertheless, it does exist and the government has imposed its regulations to avoid the spread and minimize the damages. No matter what the measures are, we all need some prayer from time to time to help us cope with our daily lives and survive whatever challenges life decides to throw at us.
One of those prayers is found in a video that was published many years ago by a young lady named Daphney Rene Sylvestre (DR$). She usually leads her quiet life in the state of Tennessee. However, she also believes that it is her responsibility to speak out and defend the people that she cares about when the time is in need. She may not have known it at the time of this video, but its words actually transcend the times of our lives. In a sense, they are as valuable and relevant today as they were many years ago. We will always need a prayer to keep us safe and protected. And that is what this video is all about.
Today, everyone tries to be cautious with this virus going around. However, there are a few rebels or ignorants who could care less about catching the disease. With that said, Daphney Rene Sylvestre or DR$ always takes her own personal precautionary measures seriously. She always said that the reason is that she intends to live up to her “100 Years of Eternity”. That is a joke that she started many years ago and that she still holds onto today. She once said to me that “although the fear of the Corona Virus is very real, it is the regulations that are actually very annoying”. Yet, those measures are necessary for her safety and she understands their purpose.

On the other hand, she misses the days when she used to socialize every where at any time. She misses the days at the libraries and the restaurants where she used to interact with many colleagues and friends. She is already looking forward to being back at work and to have her normal life back as soon as possible. This terror in its infancy cannot continue. We need God in our lives. We need order, discipline, and stability in our circles. Therefore, this prayer is necessary for the current times and for always.
In her own words, I would like to say: “May God continue to bless us and protect us always!”
