Walmart to close all 4,606 stores in 24-hour blackout & doors will shut earlier than normal beforehand

WALMART is set to go dark at its over 4,000 stores for a full 24-hours in a few weeks.

Shoppers will also have limited hours to shop at stores the day before the 24-hour closure.

Walmart will close its doors and turn off the lights on December 25 in observance of Christmas, a federal holiday.

The retailer, which operates 4,606 stores in the U.S., only closes for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

However, the stores will operate on special hours on December 24, aka Christmas Eve.

Shoppers will be able to shop in-store between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., according to DealNews.

This gives shoppers 12 hours to stock up on any last-minute gifts, stocking stuffers, or grocery needs for Christmas dinner.

Hours should resume as normal on December 26.
